• Boolean syntax follows the Library of Congress Catalog convention (ANSI/NISO Z39.58)
• Operator precedence: OR is evaluated first, then AND and NOT (left-to-right) — use parentheses to override
• All searches are case-insensitive and match within individual field content
• Multiple space-separated terms are AND’d by default
• Use year range filters to narrow results to specific Factbook editions
